Update 6.3.0.1
Update 6.3.0.1 releases next week, December 13. For more details regarding this patch, please view Bungie’s Destiny Server and Status article.
Timeline:
| 8:00 AM PST | -8 UTC | Destiny 2 will undergo maintenance.Sign-on and game integration features will be unavailable on web, mobile, 3rd-party apps, and the Bungie Store.Players who observe issues should report to the #Help forum. |
| 8:45 AM PST | -8 UTC | Destiny 2 will be brought offline for expected maintenance.Players will be removed from activities and won’t be able to log back in until 9 AM PST.Ongoing Destiny maintenance is expected to conclude at 10 AM PST. |
| 9:00 AM PST | -8 UTC | Hotfix 6.3.0.1 will be available across all platforms and regions.Players will be able to log back into Destiny 2.Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing. |
| 10:00 AM PST | -8 UTC | Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude.Console players who encounter issues updating to 6.3.0.1 should restart their console and try downloading the Hotfix.Players who observe issues should report to the #Help forum. |
Update for Destiny 2 on Stadia
Stadia will being going offline starting January 11, one before Stadia shuts down for good. For more information and help view this article by Bungie.
Matchmaking Changes
Bungie has made changes to matchmaking in the Crucible. This change reduces match latency, but may increase matchmaking times. Bungie will be monitoring this change.
Rose Hand Cannon Update
Bungie has resolved an issue where players could not acquire Rose upon completing Placement matches in the Competitive Division . Players effected by this issue, should have received the Hand Cannon upon logging into Destiny 2.
Bungie Bounty Emblem Update
Bungie is still granting Bungie Bounty emblems to anyone who they missed in their initial grant. Any player who submitted a ticket using the Missing Emblem Contact Form does not need to submit a new one (even if you received a message that your ticket has been closed, Bungie will reopen it when they have the resources to grant more emblems).
Save your Stadia Characters
Destiny 2 players whose main characters are from Stadia should set up Cross Save with another platform so they do not lose access to their characters after the shutdown on January 18, 2023. Additionally, after January 18, players with Google Stadia as their primary account should not deactivate Cross Save for any reason. Doing so will result in players completely losing access to their characters.

Gjallarfoam Ornament Codes
Players who received a PDF download code for the Gjallarfoam ornament from the Bungie Store and had issues receiving a code should click on the link in the email to download the PDF again to properly retrieve their code.
