Lightfall Exotics Sneak Peak
Here’s a look at some of the exotics coming with Lightfall on February 28, 2023.
- Final Warning: Hold down the trigger of this Kinect slot Strand Sidearm to mark targets within range and load a burst of bullets. When hip firing, projectiles track aggressively toward marked targets.
- Deterministic Chaos: While holding the trigger, every fourth bullet of this Void Machine Gun becomes a heavy projectile that weakens targets on impact. Every fourth heavy projectile makes targets volatile on impact.
- Winterbite: This Heavy slot Exotic Stasis Glaive fires a large ball of energy that locks onto nearby targets and freezes them.
- Cyrtarachne’s Façade – This Exotic helmet gives extra protection as Hunters gain armor and flinch resistance when they grapple.
- Abeyant Leap – When Titans use their Barricade with this Exotic leg armor, it spawns seeking projectiles that suspend enemies and gives armor to its wielder.
- Swarmers – This new Exotic leg armor allows Warlocks to create a Threadling to infest and attack enemies after destroying a tangle.

Goodbye to Blues (for good this time around)
As of Hotfix 6.3.0.7 blues no longer drop once you hit the soft Power cap. Instead powerful enemies will drop legendary engram in the place of blues. Reputation gains with the Gunsmith have been increased 25%.
Bungie plans to make another change early in Lightfall. In this change powerful enemies will drop Glimmer (and sometimes a purple engram) whenever a blue engram would have dropped.
Voting Poll Opens Soon
A new poll will be open soon to vote on a Trials map for next week. The choices this time around are:
- The Fortress
- Twilight Gap
- Radiant Cliffs

Lightfall Maintenance Downtime
Destiny 2 will be brought OFFLINE on February 27 at 9 AM PST for 24 hours in preparation of Lightfall.
OFFLINE: February 27 at 9 AM PST (5:00 PM UTC)
ONLINE: February 28 at 9 AM PST (5:00 PM UTC)
Here are some important notes from TWAB to keep in mind:
- During this period, players can pre-download Lightfall on all platforms. Be advised that the download file will be large, but this new installation will improve load times, and overall disk space usage will be smaller afterwards.
- Once the game is brought back online, and Lightfall has launched, sign-in queues are expected, especially during the first hours and peak play times. Keep an eye on @BungieHelp and @Destiny2Team for more information.

“IMPORTANT UPDATE
Beginning Tuesday, January 31, 2023, after Hotfix 6.3.0.7, Destiny Player Support began seeing reports from players who had recently deleted characters concerning character progression loss upon the reappearance of previously deleted characters.
After an investigation into player logs, the team was able to identify and address the cause of the issue, and we believe only a limited population of players that had deleted an existing character within 48 hours of the release of Hotfix 6.3.0.7 were affected.
We want to reiterate to players that we take the safety of player data very seriously and are continuously working to ensure that player data remains safe and intact. We will continue monitoring this situation closely, though we believe the issue has been fully resolved. More information will be shared via @BungieHelp once available.”

Information below is from the following articles: TWAB | Enhancing Weapon Crafting
Craftable in Season 20:
- Seasonal weapons.
- Neomuna weapons.
- Base raid weapons
- Plus, a handful of other weapons that don't have direct comparisons to TWQ sources.
Craftable in Season 21 and beyond:
- Seasonal weapons.
- Raid reprise weapons.
Here's a look at crafting changes coming:
- No more Deepsight Attunement objectives
- "If you obtain a Deepsight weapon and just want the pattern progress, you can dismantle it. If you want pattern progress and also want to keep the Deepsight weapon, you will also have the option to immediately obtain the pattern without dismantling the weapon."
- Only locked weapon patterns will drop with Deepsight.
- "When a Deepsight weapon drops after the release of Lightfall, it will signify a reward you will want to engage with immediately, rather than an afterthought you might toss into the vault for later. Deepsight will operate like a checklist – every red border weapon that drops will be pattern progress that can be earned."
- Resonant and Harmonic Alloys will be removed in upcoming seasons.
- Enhance Adept Lightfall raid weapons starting a few weeks after master difficulty for the Lightfall raid releases.
- Activate Deepsight on any craftable weapon pattern (coming in Season 21).
- Leveling a weapon will not require equipping it (coming after Season 21).
- Level crafted weapons the current if preferred.
