Burns have been replaced with Surges and Threats, and Overcharge weapons have been introduced.
- Surge – Using a surging subclass gives a +25% Kinetic bonus, while any of two elements provide a +25% damage increase.
- Threat – Get a 25% damage boost for your Guardian with a particular element, which means you’ll take down enemies faster than before.
- Overcharge – One or two weapon types per activity as well as any selectable anti-Champion (and other) perks also makes those weapons Overcharged. An Overcharged weapon can ignore the Surge element and still get the +25% damage bonus.
NOTE: Overcharges and Surgesdo no stack.

- One Overcharged weapon.

- Threats depend on the featured Lost Sector.
- Combatants are harder to stagger and have more health.
- Lost Sectors feature +20 combat delta (rather than -15 or -20).
Bungie will be tracking Season 20’s completion rates and times to adjust Exotic engram drop rates if needed. More ways to get Lightfall Exotic armors will be available on 2/28.
